27 May Saturday School

Dear Saturday School Parents,

Good afternoon and welcome to week seven of the SMIS-English Saturday School summer term.  I hope you and your children are having a wonderful week and that you have time to be outdoors and enjoy the amazing spring weather.

This week there are a few reminders about Saturday School.  First, it is important to have your child bring a small, please no hard candy or shellfish, snack to eat at breaktime that gives students a much needed energy boost.  I also want to encourage you to take time to read with and to your child a few times a week.  Reading is fundamental to language development and reading with your child is an easy and enjoyable way to become more involved with your child’s English education.  Finally, if you need to call SMIS-English on a Saturday please call on 080-3801-0670, the Saturday School cell phone.  Saturday School staff do not answer the office phone on Saturdays, but Mr Kei and I do our best to always answer the Saturday School cell phone (080-3801-0670).

Thank you for your continued support of and participation in the SMIS-English Saturday School programme.  It is a joy to see so many happy faces every Saturday morning and to be a part of all of the Saturday School students’ English education every Saturday.

Have an amazing rest of your week and I look forward to seeing you and your children on Saturday.

Best regards,
