13 May Saturday School

Dear Saturday School Parents,

Good evening and welcome to week five of the SMIS-English Saturday School summer term.  I hope you and your children had an amazing Golden Week holiday and that your children are ready for another exciting day of learning, exploring and growing in English this Saturday.

This week there are a few reminders about Saturday School.  First, although COVID restrictions are loosening, Saturday School students still need to bring a completed temperature slip to Saturday School in the morning.  This will continue through the summer term and is an extra precaution to protect students’ and teachers’ health.  Also, I know Saturday mornings can be busy- it is a sixth day of school- but please try to arrive at Saturday School before 9:00.  When students arrive late they often miss important morning announcements and the start of class lessons.  Finally, I want to remind you that the SMIS-English Kids Summer School will run this year Monday-Friday from 24 July to 4 August (ten days).  The Kids Summer School is a great way to help your children continue to learn English over the summer with challenging, but engaging and enjoyable classes.  If you have any questions or want more information about the SMIS-English Kids Summer School 2023 do not hesitate to ask me before or after Saturday School or email me in English or Japanese.

I hope the rest of your week is amazing and look forward to seeing you on Saturday.

Best regards,
