English Teacher

English Teachers are responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, supporting student progress, maintaining a safe and positive classroom environment, and working collaboratively with other staff members.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be a native English speaker
• Have at least two years of teaching experience in Japan
• Hold Permanent Resident status in Japan or equivalent. We do not sponsor VISA
• Have relevant experience teaching children or adult learners
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills
• Be reliable, professional, and committed to student welfare
• Work collaboratively with teachers, assistants, and school management

A recognised university degree, and/or teaching qualification, such as TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, is preferred.

Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistants support teachers during lessons and help students participate safely and confidently in classroom activities.

Responsibilities may include preparing classroom materials, assisting individual students or small groups, supervising children, supporting transitions between activities, and helping maintain an organised learning environment.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be fluent in both English and Japanese
• Be comfortable communicating with students, parents, and staff in both languages
• Be reliable, patient, responsible, and professional
• Enjoy working with children in an educational environment
• Be able to follow safeguarding, health, safety, and school procedures
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff

Previous experience in education, childcare, or an international school environment is preferred but not always required.
