SMIS-English & Reading

Many SMIS-English students ask, ‘What is the best way to study English outside of class?’  Reviewing grammar, vocabulary and writing are important (please do these).  However, without question, the best way to study and learn English outside of class is to read, and for young children being read to.  Reading improves grammar, vocabulary, spelling, writing and, surprisingly, speaking skills.  Because reading is so important all SMIS-English students have access to the St. Michael’s International School library with thousands of books for learners of all ages and abilities.  Looking to learn English?  Join one of the children’s or adult classes and learn the joy of becoming able to read in English!
